Reflection in writing
Another stage which could be added to the Curriculum Cycle is the fifth stage of the Hertzberg’s (2012) planning for writing model which reflects on language choices. This stage asks students to reflect on their writing piece as it allows them to review the work that they have produced and it enables them to “connect with what they have written” (Hertzberg, 2012, p.126). Hertzberg (2012) states that by allowing students time to reflect on their work shows the student that the teacher is interested in their writing and appreciates the effort they have placed in their work.
